Egrets are some of the showiest and most exciting birds in my beautiful Florida landscape. Almost decimated in the 1800's because of the demand for their plumes for fashion, the Great Egret was saved by the efforts of early conservationists and later became the symbol of the Audubon Society.
Stoneware clay, carved with underglazed painting in black and orange. A clear glaze fired to cone 10, and waterproof - so you can put flowers in it!
