Gingko leaves surround the inside of this bowl and are repeated on the outside of it. The texture on the leaves as well as the fire created lots of variation in the colors. Several iridescent copper flashes enhance the beauty of the gingko leaves.
This bowl is wheel thrown, carved and raku fired. The black of the raku clay emphasizes the glow of the glazes.
