I am drawn to dragonflies and never tire of portraying them in my art. They have been known to exist for the past 360 million years, and have been depicted in art as far back as cave paintings! They are beautiful, but quite deadly to their prey - sometimes described as 'stealth jet fighters.'
This teapot expresses my love for both tea and this beautiful insect! It is a high-fired reduction stoneware, the design painted with cobalt oxide with a clear glaze applied on top.
